OVERVIEW
Two shareholders, one new LNG import terminal, and five weeks until its first public appearance. For the VTTI and Höegh Evi joint venture we built the Zeeland Energy Terminal identity: a typographic logo, the ZET Line, a 36-page brand book, templates, illustrations and every piece the team needed on stage at Flame 2026.

introduction
01The Client
Zeeland Energy Terminal (ZET) is a 50/50 joint venture between VTTI and Höegh Evi: a planned LNG import terminal in the harbour of Vlissingen-Oost. It uses a Floating Storage and Regasification Unit to add flexible import capacity for the Netherlands and Europe, and has been recognised as a project of national interest.
The Brief
The terminal had a name but no identity. It needed one of its own, distinct from both shareholders yet familiar to each. The brief asked for a clean, minimal system that works on light and dark backgrounds, scales from an email signature to a two-metre roll-up, and is ready for the Flame 2026 LNG conference, five weeks after the first call.

02Logo
We presented two directions. The client chose the typographic one: a ZET acronym built from sharp angles and softened corners, its terminals cut at the same slant found in the VTTI and Höegh Evi marks. Locked up with the full name, Zeeland Energy Terminal, it reads as an acronym with a meaning, not three random letters.

03The ZET Line
The key visual is a single line with a 111° break, taken from the diagonal of the Z. It divides layouts, aligns typography and repeats into patterns. It nods to the dividing line in Höegh’s visual language without copying it, and it is simple enough to apply in PowerPoint or Word.
Colour
ZET Core Navy and ZET Pure White carry the identity. ZET Accent Blue 1 is the only accent for headlines, line elements and icons. Red, yellow and grey tints extend the palette for charts and data visualisation, so reports stay readable without diluting the brand.
Typography
TT Hoves Pro sets the technical tone: Expanded Medium for headlines, Expanded Light for large numbers, Regular and DemiBold for text. Poppins and Inter are free fallbacks for anyone working without the licence.

04Drawn Like Engineering
Early in the process the client asked to see the brand in a maritime setting and on PPE. We answered with a set of technical line illustrations: terminal structures, an LNG carrier, a hard hat and workwear, each drawn with the precision of an engineering drawing and with the logo placed and measured on it.
From Drawing to Site
Each drawing then became the real thing. A terminal brand lives on tanks, hard hats, jackets and signage long before it lives on slides, so the ZET acronym is set to stay legible at a distance: on a white helmet, embroidered on navy workwear and on the entrance totem at the gate.

guidelines
05Brand Book
A 36-page brand book documents the system as rules: logo construction and clear space, logo scaling for every screen format, colour codes in HEX, RGB and CMYK, typography, imagery and the correct and incorrect use of the ZET Line.
Templates
We built the tools the team uses every day: a PowerPoint master, Word templates for letters and reports, a wayfinding layout and business cards. Each one is set up so the team can swap a photo and a headline without breaking the grid.

Brochure & Posters
Brochures and posters lead with the terminal’s promise, competitive, reliable and flexible LNG regasification capacity, set in TT Hoves with the key words in Accent Blue.

07The Debut
ZET made its first public appearance at Flame 2026 (19–21 May). For the networking event hosted by VTTI and Höegh Evi we designed roll-ups, a hanging banner, name badges, lanyards and business cards, and delivered print-ready files with enough time left for production.

08Result
From the first call to the conference stage in five weeks, followed by the full brand book and templates in June. Two shareholders now speak through one brand, and the terminal has a system ready to extend to its website and everything that comes after the first cargo.
